Unique Traditions

Indonesia is most beautiful place for me. This country has many islands and many culture. Each island has consist of different ethnic and traditions, their language also different.
In this part I will tell you about traditions in Indonesia , but I will tell you special about Java's traditions .

SEKATEN

Sekaten or Sekaten ceremony ( comes from syahadatain or two statements of syahadat ) is a event to celebrate Muhammad prophet birthday. It is hold in 5 Mulud ( robiul awal ) at north plaza Surakarta and Yogyakarta.
The first day , the ceremony is beginning at night with festival royal's army with 2 sets of gamelan. This festival is started from Pendopo Ponconiti to Masjid Agung in north plaza with guarding by royal's army.

GREBEG MULUD

This is final of sekaten ceremony , is sighted with grebeg mulud that hold on 12 Robiul Awal , it's beginning at 8 am with guarding by 10 variety royal's army wiribrojo. daeng, patangpuluh, jogokaryo, prawirotomo, nyutr, ketanggung mahtrijero, surokarso, and bugis, a mountainous that makes from ketan rices, foods and fruits, also vegetables is brought from Kemandungan castle trough Sitinggil and Pagelaran to masjid Agung. After that is prayed the mountainous that symbol of prosperity Mataram kingdom. It is shared to people that belive if the section from mountainous will be berkah to them.
