Penggel's rice is special food of Kebumen city, because as long time I never meet penggel's rice in another district in Central Java. Penggel's rice is rice with foot of an animal side dishes and gori vegetable , that cooked with milk squeezed coconut and cassava leafes. This near with gudeg , but the salt taste , delicious , and serve with kimplah-kimplah sauce , and appropriate with our taste.
The unique from penggel's rice is the rice like lump rice. Rice of penggel's rice is shaped circles as big as ping-pong ball. A portion usually includes 7-8 circles. The gori vegetables and foot of an animal be a couple of penggel's rice. The food of an animal is cooked with yellow ingredients and is cut as big foot of an animal in padang restaurant.
